The employment rate in most countries especially our country Nigeria is becoming very low as time goes on which has really increase the total number of jobless graduates on the street and thus boosting poverty rate.

In my today's entry I will be sharing with you all the most popular employment in my country and also how AI can help as well as create problem in the general job market and lastly how to reduce the rate of rising unemployment

WHAT ARE THE MOST POPULAR EMPLOYMENT IN YOUR COUNTRY?

The most popular employment in my country Nigeria is teaching (civil service) especially in our state which is akwa ibom state it is well known and recognize to be a civil service state.

And another popular employment in our country nowadays is politics, funny right but trust me I'm speaking the truth. Everyone nowadays in my country wants to join politics and you can imagine our newly elected state governor had just appointed more that 50 SA's which automatically there will all have to quit their jobs to work in the government's office.

In my country if you want to be a teacher after your graduation 🎓 you will have a 90% chance of being employed than others who went to study nursing, law, engineering, accounting, mass communication etc.

To those that it favors it's nice and simple to them for being able to secure a job but for others it has been a big slap on the face cause after spending years in the university after that you won't be able to secure yourself a job or get employed simply because the government only focuses on civil service and politics.

DO YOU BELIEVE "AI" WILL HELP OR CREATE PROBLEMS IN THE JOB MARKET?

In the current situation that we all are going through in our country and the current rate of unemployment that is rising everyday AI has really helped most especially the youth in a way beyond imagination.

For example I have seen a graduate who was unable to secure herself a job to the point that all hope was lost, then she started dedicating her time online and now trust me when I say this that she is now an influencer and probably making good amount of money from it and living fine.

So the introduction of AI has really helped the job market because it has helped create many self employed youth most especially in my country ranging from influencers, skit makers, YouTubers etc.

And to me personally I do not see any kind of problem that is cause by AI as long as it has to do with the general job market because instead of creating a problem it's create a solution that will help improve the life's of people in the society.

HOW TO REDUCE RISING UNEMPLOYMENT

There are so many ways that we can help reduce the rate of rising unemployment in our society today and some of it can be easily achieve with the help of AI like I have mentioned earlier that AI which is technology has really helped improve the life's of people by creating many self employed entrepreneurs globally.

And also another way that we can help reduce the rate of rising unemployment is by vendoring into production which the process will need more hands and thus employ more people either governmental or private ownership.

And another way that we can stop the rate of rising unemployment is by eliminating corruption in high places so that the process of employment would be base on qualifications and not bribing or sorting.
